Spinal Decompression Therapy for Grantville Patients

Spinal decompression therapy gives patients another option for disc-related pain, sciatica, back pain, and mobility limits. The work starts with a health history, exam, and review of symptoms. X-rays may be considered when clinically indicated.

The main decision is fit. Spinal decompression isn't right for every condition, and results vary by patient. We may recommend Cox flexion-distraction, diversified adjustments, Activator Method techniques, TENS therapy, or rehabilitation when those options better match the findings.

  • Bring details about your symptoms, past injuries, medications, and current treatment.
  • Ask how the exam supports the choice of table-based decompression or another method.
  • Discuss warning signs, activity limits, and when progress will be reviewed.

Service Overview

Spinal decompression therapy is a non-surgical treatment that uses controlled table movement and traction to reduce stress through parts of the spine.

  • It differs from a diversified adjustment because the table applies a guided unloading motion instead of a manual thrust.
  • Arrowhead Clinic Chiropractor Newnan provides this care for Grantville patients through its Newnan and Coweta County practice.

What Patients May Gain From Spinal Decompression

Controlled traction may help reduce stress around irritated spinal structures.

A guided table motion gives the spine a different type of movement than an adjustment.

A personalized plan connects table care with exercises and mobility work.

Patients receive a clearer path when symptoms have not improved with rest alone.

What Helps You Decide on Spinal Decompression

A finding-based treatment choice

The exam, health history, and symptom pattern guide the choice of spinal decompression, Cox flexion-distraction, or another method. The service is the wrong fit when symptoms call for medical assessment or a different type of care.

A plan that includes rehabilitation

Table care can be paired with individualized rehabilitation, soft tissue therapy, TENS therapy, or kinesio taping when those tools match the plan.

Care for accident-related symptoms

Our team evaluates whiplash, neck and back injuries, sciatica, and soft-tissue injuries linked to car, truck, motorcycle, slip-and-fall, sports, or workplace accidents.

This place is great. They have a good sized staff so you rarely have to wait. Because of how little wait time there is it’s very easy to just walk in. Even when you walk in without an appointment the waits aren’t long. The staff here is also extremely polite. Also they have great hours. The fact they close at 6 makes it extremely easy to get here. The place is also extremely clean which is always a bonus for me.

Questions About Spinal Decompression Care

How does spinal decompression therapy work?

Spinal unloading uses controlled traction and table movement to reduce stress through parts of the spine. Arrowhead Clinic Chiropractor Newnan first reviews your symptoms and health history. The exam guides the table setup and treatment approach. Cox flexion-distraction, rehabilitation, or another method may be selected when it better matches the findings. Individual response differs.

What should be checked before treatment is scheduled?

A health history and clinical exam should come before treatment is scheduled. We review symptoms, prior injuries, medications, accident details, and movement limits. X-rays may be considered when clinically indicated. Sudden weakness, loss of bladder control, or severe trauma symptoms need medical attention before routine chiropractic care.

Who is a good fit, and who needs another service?

Patients with back pain, sciatica, disc-related pain, or mobility limits may fit this care after an evaluation. Our team checks whether symptoms match table-based treatment. Medical assessment or another service is more suitable when warning signs, severe trauma, or a condition outside chiropractic care is present. The exam guides that decision.

What happens at each stage of treatment?

Each stage moves from intake to examination, treatment selection, table care, and progress review.

  1. The intake records health history and symptoms.
  2. The exam checks movement and spinal function.
  3. The care plan selects table therapy or another method.
  4. The progress review guides the next decision.

Our team explains the plan before care begins.

Which symptoms should make me pause before care?

Sudden weakness, loss of bladder control, or severe symptoms after major trauma require medical assessment first. Tell our team about numbness, changing pain, recent injuries, and current medicines during intake. Spinal decompression isn't used as a substitute for urgent medical care. The evaluation helps identify when another service should come first.

Why might table therapy differ from an adjustment?

A treatment table uses guided traction and movement, while a diversified adjustment uses a manual technique. We choose between them based on the exam, symptoms, and treatment goals. Some plans combine table care with rehabilitation, soft tissue therapy, TENS therapy, or kinesio taping. Individual response differs, so progress is reviewed.

What changes the cost of this care?

The evaluation, treatment method, rehabilitation needs, and care plan change the cost. A free consultation lets you discuss the proposed service before treatment begins. Our team can explain what the plan includes and how accident-related care or insurance matters may be coordinated. We don't publish an amount because each plan follows the clinical findings.
