Sports Injury Treatment for Franklin Athletes and Active Adults

Sports injury treatment focuses on the movement problem behind pain, stiffness, or reduced function. We examine the spine, joints, soft tissue, balance, and the activity that brought on the injury.

The main decision is whether the injury fits chiropractic rehabilitation or needs another type of medical care. We provide care for musculoskeletal injuries, but severe symptoms or signs of a medical emergency need prompt medical evaluation.

A sports injury page should answer more than where care is offered. You need to know which techniques may be used and how the plan connects to your symptoms. Our team explains the findings and sets out a personalized treatment plan after the patient evaluation.

  • Describe the sport, movement, or incident that brought on the pain.
  • Bring information about prior injuries, current symptoms, and activity limits.
  • Ask how spinal adjustments, soft tissue work, and exercise fit the care plan.
  • Discuss pain that spreads, affects balance, or changes with activity.

Process

How We Approach a Sports Injury Visit

1

Review the injury and activity

We discuss when symptoms began, which movement brings them on, and how the injury affects sport, work, or daily tasks.

2

Complete the patient evaluation

The exam checks health history, joint motion, muscle tension, balance, and signs that may call for another type of care.

3

Explain the care findings

We explain what the exam shows and how the symptoms may relate to spinal motion, soft tissue, or movement control.

4

Apply the selected methods

Care may include diversified adjustments, Cox flexion-distraction, Activator Method techniques, myofascial release, TENS therapy, traction, or kinesio taping.

5

Build the rehabilitation plan

We choose exercises and movement work that fit your findings, activity level, and current tolerance.

6

Review progress and next steps

Your response to care guides later visits, exercise changes, and any regular maintenance discussion.

What You Get From a Focused Sports Injury Plan

A plan tied to your exam

Your symptoms, health history, joint motion, and activity goals shape the plan. We don't use one set of adjustments for every sports injury.

Several care methods in one office

Our options include diversified adjustments, Activator Method techniques, Cox flexion-distraction, TENS therapy, kinesio taping, and myofascial release.

A clear limit on chiropractic care

This service is not the right job for a suspected fracture, serious neurological change, or other urgent medical concern. We direct those concerns to appropriate medical care.

Choosing Care Based on the Injury Finding

These options show how different findings may shape the care plan.

I would have to give this location 5 stars as I was sent here on the google reviews alone. I am here due to a car accident I was recently in. Starting treatment was simple and every member of their staff treats you with care and listens to your needs. I have gone to a previous facility for a car injury and I didn’t finish treatment because I didn’t feel comfortable with how they treated me during my care of how much worse I felt I was feeling. I was sent here on a google lead and I would have to say the 5 stars is WELL deserved. Go to the staff and say Jordan Jackson sent you and they will get you set!

Questions About Sports Injury Care

What techniques are used in sports injury treatment?

Rehabilitation drills, spinal adjustments, soft tissue work, stretching exercises, and balance training are used when the exam supports them. We may also use Cox flexion-distraction, Activator Method techniques, TENS therapy, traction, or kinesio taping.

The plan depends on your symptoms, joint motion, activity demands, and response to care. Individual results vary, so we review progress as treatment continues.

What does the clinician look at first during care?

The first evaluation looks at your health history, pain pattern, joint motion, muscle tension, and activity limits. We also ask how the injury happened and which movements change your symptoms.

Those findings guide the care plan. A serious symptom or suspected medical emergency may require medical evaluation before chiropractic treatment.

What should be checked before treatment is scheduled?

The injury history and current symptoms should be checked before a care plan is set. We review prior injuries, medications, activity demands, pain that spreads, and changes in strength or balance.

Bring any relevant medical information to the consultation. That helps us decide whether chiropractic care fits and which methods deserve consideration.

Who is a good fit for this type of care?

Active adults and athletes with musculoskeletal pain, stiffness, or movement limits may fit this care. We assess each patient before choosing adjustments, soft tissue therapy, or exercise.

Suspected fractures, serious neurological symptoms, or other urgent medical concerns need a different service. We explain that limit during the evaluation.

How does the first visit help guide treatment?

The first visit connects your injury history and exam findings to a personalized treatment plan. We review the affected area, nearby joints, soft tissue tension, balance, and the movements that cause trouble.

You can ask what each recommended method does and how it fits your activity goals. The plan can be adjusted as your response becomes clearer.

Which part of care can change the price?

The evaluation needs, selected treatment methods, and rehabilitation needs can change the cost. A plan using adjustments and exercise may differ from one that also includes traction, TENS therapy, or soft tissue work.

We explain the recommended care and provide pricing details through the consultation process. Free Consultations are available.

Why might pain return after sports activity?

Pain may return when joint motion, muscle support, balance, or movement control remains limited. We check those factors instead of judging the injury by pain alone.

Your plan may include soft tissue work, adjustments, stretching, and movement drills. Regular maintenance can also be discussed when recurring stiffness affects activity.
