Process

How we provide sports injury care

1

Record the injury history

The new patient intake covers the activity, injury event, symptoms, prior injuries, and current health concerns.

2

Check movement and joint function

The health history and exam review painful movement, mobility limits, joint function, and related soft-tissue tension.

3

Set the personalized care plan

We explain the findings and choose suitable methods, such as diversified adjustments, Activator Method techniques, traction, or soft tissue therapy.

4

Add rehabilitation work

Individualized rehabilitation addresses movement control, strength, and functional goals connected to the injury.

5

Review progress

A progress re-examination checks changes in symptoms and movement, then helps guide the next care decision.

What to weigh before choosing sports injury care

Start with a thorough patient evaluation

The first visit connects the injury history with movement testing and a health exam. This helps us choose an appropriate care plan instead of treating one symptom in isolation.

Match treatment to the injury

Cox Flexion-Distraction, Activator Method techniques, TENS therapy, traction, and myofascial release serve different needs. We select methods based on the findings and the athlete’s goals.

Know when another service fits

Chiropractic sports injury care is not the right sole service for every serious injury, severe neurological symptom, or condition needing urgent medical attention. We focus our care on musculoskeletal pain, mobility limits, and rehabilitation.

The scope this service is meant to handle

An athlete in Tyrone develops ongoing soreness after training and notices pain with movement. We review the activity history, examine joint motion and soft tissue, and then discuss whether chiropractic care and rehabilitation fit the findings.

I would have to give this location 5 stars as I was sent here on the google reviews alone. I am here due to a car accident I was recently in. Starting treatment was simple and every member of their staff treats you with care and listens to your needs. I have gone to a previous facility for a car injury and I didn’t finish treatment because I didn’t feel comfortable with how they treated me during my care of how much worse I felt I was feeling. I was sent here on a google lead and I would have to say the 5 stars is WELL deserved. Go to the staff and say Jordan Jackson sent you and they will get you set!

Questions athletes ask about injury care

When should athletes seek care for swelling after an injury?

Swelling deserves an evaluation when it continues, limits movement, or appears with joint instability. We review the injury history and examine motion and soft tissue before planning care. Athletes should seek medical attention for severe symptoms or concerns that fall outside musculoskeletal chiropractic care. Individual response differs, so activity decisions should follow the findings and care guidance.

Who is a good fit for sports injury care, and who needs a different service?

Athletes with musculoskeletal pain, mobility limits, soft-tissue irritation, or reduced function may fit this service. Care may include an exam, adjustments, soft tissue therapy, and rehabilitation. Severe injuries, urgent symptoms, or conditions needing medical treatment require a different service or medical assessment. Our evaluation helps identify whether chiropractic care fits the concern.

What happens at each stage of the first injury visit?

The first visit begins with an intake, followed by a health history, exam, findings review, and care plan.

  1. The intake records the injury and symptoms.
  2. The exam checks movement, joints, and soft tissue.
  3. The care plan explains suitable treatment and rehabilitation.

X-rays are considered only when clinically indicated.

What does the care team look at first during an injury evaluation?

The injury history and current movement pattern guide the first part of the evaluation. We ask what happened, what motion hurts, and how the issue affects activity. The exam then checks joint function, mobility, and soft tissue. This approach helps connect the athlete’s main complaint with treatment choices.

Which treatment methods may be used for athletic pain?

Treatment methods may include diversified adjustments, Activator Method techniques, Cox Flexion-Distraction, soft tissue therapy, traction, and rehabilitation. The exam determines which methods fit the injury and the athlete’s goals. TENS therapy and kinesio taping may also support selected care plans. Results vary, and individual response guides later decisions.

How does the first consultation help athletes decide on care?

A free consultation lets athletes discuss the injury and learn whether an evaluation fits the concern. The discussion covers symptoms, activity limits, prior injuries, and possible care steps. It does not replace an examination when clinical findings are needed. Clear information about the injury helps our team explain suitable options.

Why can pain continue after an athlete stops the activity?

Pain can continue when joint motion, soft tissue, or movement patterns remain affected after activity stops. An exam checks the painful motion and related areas instead of looking only at the original spot. We may combine manual care with rehabilitation when appropriate. Persistent or worsening symptoms deserve an evaluation.
