Sciatica Treatment in East Newnan, Georgia for Focused Nerve and Mobility Care

Sciatica can involve pain that travels from the lower back into the hip or leg. It can also bring tingling, stiffness, or weakness. The right plan depends on your health history, exam findings, symptom pattern, and response to movement.

This page is for people deciding whether a chiropractic evaluation fits their symptoms. We assess the spine and surrounding tissue, then explain which methods match the findings. Our approach may include spinal decompression, manual therapy, stretching exercises, soft tissue work, and therapeutic exercise.

A chiropractic visit isn't the right setting for every symptom. Severe or sudden weakness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or numbness in the groin area needs urgent medical assessment. We can help identify when your symptoms call for care outside chiropractic treatment.

  • Bring a list of current symptoms, past injuries, and relevant health information.
  • Note which movements increase or reduce leg or back symptoms.
  • Ask how the proposed methods connect to the exam findings.
  • Discuss any accident details, prior imaging, or current treatment.

Service Overview

Sciatica treatment is a care plan that addresses pain or altered feeling linked to irritation around the sciatic nerve.

  • Chiropractic care focuses on spinal movement, joint function, and related soft tissue, while physical therapy often places more weight on exercise progression and strength training.
  • Our office provides sciatica care for East Newnan residents and patients from Coweta County.

What this care can change for daily movement

A careful exam helps connect your symptoms with specific movement and tissue findings.

A tailored plan gives you a clearer path for managing back and leg symptoms.

Exercise guidance supports movement between visits and may improve day-to-day function.

Soft tissue work may ease tension around areas that affect spinal movement.

The plan can account for accident-related pain, chronic discomfort, or mobility limits.

How we approach sciatica decisions

Match methods to exam findings

We choose techniques after reviewing your history and movement. Spinal decompression, adjustments, or exercise may fit different findings, so the exam guides the plan.

Build care around function

Your plan can include stretching, therapeutic exercise, and soft tissue work that relate to daily movement. Individual response differs, so progress is reviewed as care continues.

Know when another service fits

Chiropractic care is not the right job for every warning sign. Sudden weakness, serious trauma concerns, or bladder and bowel changes need prompt medical assessment.

Process

How we assess and treat sciatica

1

Complete the new patient intake

We review your health history, symptoms, past injuries, medications, and accident details when they apply.

2

Examine spinal and leg movement

The exam checks spinal motion, related joints, muscle tension, and signs that may change the care decision. X-rays are considered if clinically indicated.

3

Explain the report of findings

We discuss what the evaluation shows and answer questions about the role of adjustments, traction, soft tissue work, or exercise.

4

Set the personalized care plan

The plan may use spinal decompression, Cox Flexion-Distraction Therapy, manual therapy, stretching, or therapeutic exercise.

5

Review progress and next steps

We track changes in movement and symptoms, then use progress re-examinations to guide ongoing care or referral.

How sciatica care methods differ

These methods address different parts of movement and symptom management, so the examination guides the choice.

I would have to give this location 5 stars as I was sent here on the google reviews alone. I am here due to a car accident I was recently in. Starting treatment was simple and every member of their staff treats you with care and listens to your needs. I have gone to a previous facility for a car injury and I didn’t finish treatment because I didn’t feel comfortable with how they treated me during my care of how much worse I felt I was feeling. I was sent here on a google lead and I would have to say the 5 stars is WELL deserved. Go to the staff and say Jordan Jackson sent you and they will get you set!

I was initially hesitant about receiving treatment after my accident but I will say, I had an amazing experience with Dr. Bostic and Maria. From start to finish, they both went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable, heard, and well cared for. Dr. Bostic took the time to explain my injury and treatment plan, listen to my concerns, address my needs, and provide excellent care. Maria was equally amazing! She was friendly, professional, and accommodating. She worked with my schedule to make appointments as convenient as possible. It’s refreshing to receive such exceptional care from an entire team that genuinely cares about its patients and their treatment. I will return for future visits if or when needed. Thank you both for making my experience a positive one!!!

Questions about sciatica care and technique choices

What techniques are used during sciatica treatment?

Spinal decompression, manual therapy, stretching exercises, soft tissue work, and therapeutic exercise are used when the exam supports them. We may also use Cox Flexion-Distraction Therapy, diversified adjustments, Activator Method techniques, traction, TENS therapy, or kinesio taping. Your history and movement findings guide the mix. Individual response differs, so progress is reviewed during care.

How is sciatica care matched to my symptoms before work starts?

The examination matches care methods to your symptoms, movement limits, and health history. We review the pain pattern, strength, joint motion, and soft tissue tension before recommending a plan. X-rays may be considered if clinically indicated. The report of findings explains why a method fits and when another type of medical care is more suitable.

What should be ready before sciatica care starts?

Your symptom history, medication list, accident details, and prior records should be ready before the first visit. Bring imaging reports or treatment notes if you have them. A clear account of what worsens or eases symptoms helps the exam. We use that information with the new patient intake and movement assessment.

What should I ask before agreeing to sciatica care?

Ask what the exam found, which method addresses that finding, and how progress will be checked. You should also ask what symptoms require outside medical care. We explain the role of adjustments, traction, exercise, and soft tissue work before setting a plan. That discussion helps you make an informed choice about care.

Which symptoms need medical attention before chiropractic care?

Sudden weakness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or numbness around the groin needs prompt medical assessment. Severe symptoms after major trauma also need medical review. Chiropractic care can address many musculoskeletal complaints, but these warning signs require a different decision. Tell us about all symptoms during intake so we can guide the next step.

Can care after an accident include help with attorney referrals?

Yes, personal-injury patients can ask about our legal referral network and treatment coordination. We review the accident history and available records during intake. Our team can help coordinate treatment and insurance matters, while attorneys address legal questions. Bring the claim information and any documents you received after the accident.
